About the Talk
“It’s easy to talk about community in marketing, but much harder to show up for it in meaningful ways. In this session, attendees will learn what it takes to build relationships that last. Drawing from years of experience creating authentic partnerships with local nonprofits, small businesses, state agencies, and major brands, Juliana will unpack what works, what doesn’t, and what it truly means to collaborate with purpose. Attendees will learn how to identify aligned partners, set shared expectations, and build relationships that feel genuine on both sides. The session also explores how to navigate the challenges that come with community engagement, including misaligned goals, limited capacity, and differences in organizational culture that can shape everything from meeting expectations to communication styles. Folks will leave with a practical framework for building partnerships rooted in respect and reciprocity. This session is for marketers who want to move beyond campaigns and build connections that strengthen both their brands and the communities they serve.”
